Off-road convoys for the UAE desert
Athar puts every car in your convoy on one map, warns the cars behind you when someone finds a sharp drop, and keeps working where the signal ends.
Liwa from orbit. Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data 2026.
Out here, the signal ends long before the sand does. A car drops behind a dune and is gone. Someone sinks to the axles two ridges away, and nobody knows which way to turn. Athar is built for that moment. Every car on one map. Warnings that travel back down the convoy. An SOS that knows exactly where you are, even with no bars at all.
Convoy
See every car with its distance, direction and how old its position is, so a stale dot never passes for a live one. Lead up to 50 cars; anyone joins with a code or a link, and you let each car in.

Hazards
Tap what you found, a sharp drop, soft sand or rocks, and every car behind you is warned before it gets there. Lasting hazards can go on the public map, so the next convoy knows too.

Offline
Download Liwa, Al Qudra or an area you draw before you leave. With no network, the map, your position and the SOS message still work, each car shows how old its last position is, and whatever you do is sent the moment signal returns.

SOS
SOS reaches every convoy you are in and builds a message with your exact coordinates for WhatsApp, SMS or the police. It is made on your phone from its own GPS, so it is ready even with no bars.

In the car
Follow a saved track turn by turn on Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with your convoy around you. Hazard and SOS alerts reach the car's screen for every driver.

Trips
Distance, time, highest point and total climb for every drive, the elevation along the way, and the track to follow next time.

Convoy
The leader names it and gets a six-letter code.
Read it over the radio, send the link, or show the QR code to the car next to you.
Let each car in. From then on everyone sees everyone, and every warning reaches the whole convoy.

Yes, for everything that can. Downloaded maps, your position, your track and the SOS message all work offline. Seeing other cars needs some signal on both phones; when it drops, each car shows how old its last position is.
No. Joining is free. The leader's Premium covers the convoy's size, and lends the hazard buttons and offline driving detail to everyone in it.
Only the cars in your convoy, while you are in it. Live positions are passed on and never stored; your track is saved only when you save the trip.

Anywhere with GPS. Ready-made offline areas cover Al Qudra, Al Badayer, Fossil Rock, Liwa and the edge of the Empty Quarter, and Premium lets you draw your own.
Every screen is in Arabic and English. Convoy codes stay in Latin letters, so they can be read over the radio.
